Happy Wednesday, all! To help deal with the heaviness that is surrounding us this January, I decided to play around a little bit with my mural design that I hope to paint this spring and summer. Life has already become dramatically more busy than it was in November and December, so I need to make sure I carve out time for painting.
With a full-fledged professional paint job only on the distant most horizon, I decided to use LuLu’s white to my advantage. Instead of looking at this ugly, cracking panel I decided I’d take some nice primer white to it so it’ll blend in a little bit better than primer grey. Add in some sign paint and voila!

Here’s a mock-up of what I’d like to do. I think it adds some much-needed character to her blank white canvas. The colors I’m leaning towards are Sign Painters 1 Shot “Lemon Yellow”, “Coral”, “Orange”, and “Imitation Gold”. On each of the rays, I’d like to letter some inspiring, feel-good messages in white.
What do you think of my mock-up mural? Should I limit it just to the center panel? Should the sun be lower? Smaller? Any messages you’d like to contribute for the rays? Comment below!
