Happy New Year from me (Michelle) and LuLu!
Just wanted to take a brief moment to ring in 2025 and reflect on the goings on of the past year.
I wrote and published 27 posts in 2024. Not quite as many as I’d like, but I felt really great about providing quality content. My blog reached 10 countries in 2024 and my most popular post was my guide to finding the right van for your lifestyle (see below). Here’s a few of the non-DIY posts I’m most proud of:
I also got to share some recipes with you, which was a new style of post I hadn’t posted before. Campfire Nachos and Dutch Oven Biscuits and Gravy were a pleasure to make, taste, and write about. I made a few coloring pages which was also a new foray and a ton of fun.
In Spring 2024 I attended the virtual Van Life Summit, which really inspired me in a lot of ways. I credit the summit for giving me inspiration and for being my muse for some of the aformentioned posts.
LuLu came back to me after being away for several months while my friend, Kyle, ever so kindly rewired her. The rat’s nest that was under her dash is no more! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to truly express how much help he gave me or give him enough praise.
Once she was back safe and sound, I also completed a couple of large projects. Her ceiling (which was terrifying) was completed this last summer. Her curtains were officially hung this fall. That puts me well on my way to beginning my transition of moving into her once the nights aren’t so cold.
As for travelling, it was a pretty quiet year. I welcomed my new niece into the world January 2024, so much of my time has been spent doting her. I did enjoy some time in New Mexico and Texas visiting Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Guadalupe Mountains National Park, and Roswell New Mexico. Oklahoma also made it to the list of states I’ve been to (bringing the number to 11). Per usual, I spent some time around Colorado visiting friends. I finally visited The Denver Butterfly Pavilion and held Rosie, the tarantula. And most unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip to North and South Dakota due to car troubles.
I’m looking forward to a bright and adventurous 2025 and will gladly have you all along for the ride. Cheers!
