I’ve felt like I’ve been floating on a cloud for months now. But as projects get done, the reality of my endeavors is starting to set in! I’ve been doing more timeline planning as my tentative departure date approaches and I am getting more excited (and more antsy) by the day.
We are squarely into the flooring stage, now, and I’m thrilled. Its going to come together in layers as I’m hoping to do wood flooring. I received a most gracious contribution recently. It allowed me to purchase some sound proofing for the engine compartment, so that is going to go down first. Then, I’ll put down insulation on the floor with a subfloor over it. Finally, the wooden boards comprising the floor that will be visible will go over that.
As progress continues, I feel more and more love each day. Some things I’ve been able to fully rely on myself, but other things require more than one person. It’s those things that people are showing up for and I’m so thankful.
The tentative plan is to leave at the beginning of February. There are a lot of national parks and things to see in the southwestern United States, so I’m hoping I’ll have ample time to enjoy all of them. Keep an eye out for posts about my travel goals. I’ll be making one for each state and Louisiana and Vermont are already out. If travel is your dream too, make sure to pin those graphics to your Pinterest boards! You, too, can hopefully make it a reality.
I’m also hoping that come fall, I’ll be able to begin transitioning out of my workplace and into the work-from-home sphere. There are going to be kinks that will need worked out and I’d much rather work them out before I hit the road.
Is there anything you’d like to see me do as I travel the country? Foods you want me to try? Places you want me to go? Let me know below or on any of my social media!
